Smart film and laminated smart glass are not the same solution.

Adhesive PDLC smart film is typically used for retrofit projects where suitable glass already exists. Switchable laminated smart glass is typically used for new fabricated panels, wet areas, exterior-facing conditions or higher-end architectural applications.
